New Chevy II project
New Chevy II project I have been coming to this site for years but never had a reason to register until now. My name is Jonathan and I live in Lawrenceville Ga. I recently purchased a 64 Chevy II rolling chassis. After weighing the options of rebuilding my carb 350 or going LS1 I decided I would rather have reliable power and fuel injection of an LS1. I have not started the build yet. I am still gathering facts. I want to setup the front suspension before I worry about the motor and tranny. I am leaning toward a mustang II front-end with air ride. My reasoning for the new front end is because I have heard the stock steering sucks and is dangerous at high speed and the upgrade options of the Mustang II suspension are endless. I would also like to be able to set the car on the ground when it is parked and leaving it low all the time is not an option. The roads suck way too much in Atlanta to drive a car that is only a couple inches off the ground (I did that for way too long). Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
