I too made the switch from a 98 3800 V6 5-speed camaro to a 01 WS6 6-speed. Best decision I ever made. You can't even compare to the difference in power.

i had an 01 v6 camaro vert, tossed that into a bush and came out 2 weeks later with a 99 SS vert.

when i made my switch, i initially noticed: power is like having 100+ shot of nitrous whenever you go above 20% throttle, it actually handled great in stock form, got to any speed in a hurry, it sounded awesome (flowmaster catback), and the A4 can chirp the tires going into 2nd.

i think you really get to appreciate the LS1 after driving around in a nearly stock 3800 fbody for a while. i was impressed. now i'm looking for more power just like everyone else.
