1- http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/sp...model=Firebird

2-http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2001/pontiac/firebird/base_coupe/313/

a 3.8 litre or 3800 cc motor.

you like the looks or you plan on going fast?

because if you plan on going fast I don`t know if it can go that well without forced induction and specially a turbo.

hope this helps.

the 3800's can be very quick when built and turboed. Check out the Grand Nationals, some of which are pushing 1200 to the wheels with turboed 3800 II's. But, there is nothing quite like an LS1. All depends on your preferance and how much coin ya got. Read A LOT on both sides before you decide to start. That's the best advice I can give you.

Welcome! Your not to far from me. You will enjoy the FBods, they are cool cars. I would consider a LT1 or LS1 before a v6 tho. Good luck!

Yes the 3800' s can be fast, but the Grand Nationals used the Series I, not the Series II. Short of the displacement, they share hardly, if anything at all in common.

Most import owners eventually switch to domestic cars, once they lose their virginity! They aren' t afraid of a little power after that!

Welcome to the board and congrats on your first F-body!

Whether you decide on a LS1/LS6 engine swap or simply throw a little boost at the 3.8 L V6, you're in the right place if you're looking for helpful information!
