Well, I can' t be much help in identifying it, short of saying that hubcap wasn' t made by Buick, but the car does have a Buick look to it. Are you considering buying it? It looks like it' d be a pretty straight forward resto, and would be ******* sweet when it was done!!

Well, thought I knew everything but I guess I don't!! Indeed I'll bet that gets quoted several times.

Here is my guess. It's a kit car. Did you stick a magnet on the body to confirm it's metal or something else? The thickness of the doors is unusual also, ie fiberglass. My guess is hung on VW frame, looks cute, buy it!

it looks like a one off, or someones project, or something like a kit car....you know? ive looked for about an hour now, and some other people have been looking through websites, and the closest thing ive found is like a cadallac, or a chrysler. and i dont think its either one. the fact there is no actual seams on the back part of the trunk, and you can see welding along the edges. the top looks like it was hacked off. you see what im saying. im no historian, and i can definatly be wrong, but i cant find anything like it. i wanna know what it is too!!! if you find out, please let me know....its starting to bug me...haha

i would buy it it might be one of those rare million dollar cars lol. but by the looks of the interior it looks like a kit car and the doors look like they were filled with bondo.

Im 99% sure its not Cheverlot as well. I found a few websites with pics of all the old chevys and caddys and nothing really looks close. Id by it. The inside does look like a kit car. (but I can kinda picture it with a big bench, a big wheel, and a simple dash)

If it's for sale, what's the asking price? would make a cool resto project.

Looks like an old modified custom 1940, but their were a lot of different coach builders back then. So it could be one of those.
I saw an early 1950's car that was from a small coach builder that resembled a 1953 Corvette on a truck chassis. It was about 30% larger than a Corvette in all dimensions. Very strange looking.
Good luck on what ever you decide to do with it.

Put that thing indoors, it needs a resto. It's probably worth your while if you get it looking mint.
