Converted
I am a converted Mustang owner who realized the hard way that if I want to go fast, I should be driving an LS1, or a supercharged cobra which I can't afford. My 04 GT just doesn't cut it in the fast lane. The only way to make that car fast is supercharged, and I'm an N/A guy. We didn't see eye to eye.
So here I am. Hopefully for the long haul.
Youll love it here. the cars are cheap ( for the performance available)
and plentiful which means pricing and quality of parts are competitive. id suggest finding a base v-8 model of trans am or camaro, as the ws6 and SS models offer a few minor differences that dont justify the higher price, unless the value to you of having a rarer model is worth it. drop 8-10 on one, then add 1,000 for pushrods/cam/oil pump and youll be sitting at a solid 400 hp car with around 10k of investment. everyone here is helpful, and as with any internet forum research on your own as there is a plentiful amount of both good and bad advice around. Hope you enjoy the stay!

What took ya so long?

His 04 Mustang had a lot of bolt-ons and other mods...but just couldn't make the power or quarter mile times.
It also made matters worse when I informed him that my 01 Z28 with stock 2.73 gears and only headers, intake, tune ran 12.9s all day long
And my GTO with the same mods ran 12.7s all day long

Jetlag mentioned a fun project with the LSX powered fox. You could run with the stangs until someone popped your hood and then there was a lynching...
This car is so much more fun to drive... T-tops, Auto (I guess I'm getting lazy), COMFORTABLE seats. The seats in the mustang were terrible. Driving 30 minutes to work would make my back hurt. We drove this car back 2.5 hours from where I bought it and I was comfortable the whole trip.

Welcome to the fold, cult whatever you wanna call it
