Put an LS1 in it...
Yeah, I wish... ugh i should've asked about that damn SS before I bought my car.... The dealer had this beautiful black T-top SS sitting in the back corner of the lot. I was going to ask to test drive it but when I walked around it I found that 2 tires on one side were completely flat. I feel stupid for not asking now I really, REALLY wanted a convertible though... dammit...

I think the way you're going is smarter than most. I started with a V6 firebird to get used to the car, and two years later went for an Ls1 Z28...if you're going to have it for a while, there's plenty of things you *can* do to it to make it a decently fast car, to gauge it against an LS1 is unfair because it really is an over-the-top engine. You'd smoke most of the third gens anyway unless they're heavily worked, even with just a couple of bolt ons. Have fun and enjoy the car

yeah... but this is my second v6 and it's getting a little boring to drive.... I've driven my boyfriend's '02 SS a few times and have seriously thought about stealing it for a night lol. I love the power and the feel of that car.... my car sucks.

Yeah, there really isn't a comparison between the 6 and the 8...but I'm still a fan of the v6. How come you didn't grab an 8 cyl? Generally they're pretty affordable, even compared to the 6ers.

It's all about what you're used to, I had a 95 V6 Camaro before and i thought it was fast at first, then 2 days later it was a Slow POS. I now have a 00 Z28 and it's also a slow POS, until i mod it and then once i'm used to that, it'll still be a slow POS. lol

not that it's a POS, it's just your expectations will always rise once you get what you want. at least it does for me. i used to be in the Car audio business and i was ALWAYS getting new stuff. I finally quit when i was done wasting the thousands of dollars on it. I think i finally reached 143-144 db with 1 15".
