Greetings & salutations all :) I would've showed up as Doober, but apparently that name is already taken 
Anyway, howdy! I figured I might as well start doing my research on the Gen III+ motors since they're the new thing (circa 1997 
). I have a G-body Malibu that I'd like to do a swap in (sometime in the distant future), but until then I'm going to do a ton of reading on the engine. Does anyone have any recommended reading material (besides this site of course 
) that I could go through in my own time when I'm not sitting at a computer?

Hey! Welcome to the board. www.ls1.com is another board with lots of info, and there's some great stuff at www.ls1howto.com, but it's more f-body and 'vette related. I came across a great book a while back called "Chevy LS1 LS6 Performance" that gave me a much better understanding (still long way to go!) of these engines. Have fun!
