I did the opposite. Went from Automotive 
Engineering to Aerospace 
. From testing vehicles to testing rockets. Similar test equipment, different product.
ME here, working for Pratt and Whitney. Plan on moving from aerospace to automotive at some point however.

What company are you at? Small independent? BP/Exxon/Anadarko/etc...?
Another ME major in the house. In my school of about 8000 students there are about a dozen engineers. 80,000 or so members on LS1tech and I think half of them are MEs

my camaro came with eibach lowering springs, C5 wheels, tinted windows, exhaust, no headers though, new brakes, and i just put on an Slp lid and fan controller, and put a stereo in it today and it has neon lights underneath haha but i cant get them to work i think the lights are burnt or soemthing but im not to eager to fix it

I was planning on a mechanical degree but decided with Civil instead at clarkson university, seemed like there were more job oppurtunities, and I'm pretty much content with designing anything anyways so it works for me I guess. Not at all crazy about calculus, fluids or thermo, but I liked the structural type of classes. I have one year left and this year just about every class directly focuses on my major, should be a little more interesting. After that its time to get a real job, can't wait!
