New 1
My project is a little different. Looking for a RWD light weight that is not every where led me to my '79 H-body Monza spyder. At first to keep the weight down with a decent FR balance I was going to go with a V6. Upon finding out that SBCs came as a factory option and seeing that the aluminum LSx V8s are very close to the weight of the V6, the choice was obvious.
If a 3500+Lb Fbody can get into the 12s with not much then 3000lbs and under should be just enough to well who knows...LOL
This is not going to be a dedicated 1/4 mile car, it will be on the street, road courses, and autoXs so the suspension will not be ideal for going in a straight line, still should be fun.
