My car is shoting fire

ok hi guys im new to this web site and im also kinda of new to my car. for some reason when i tested out my car it shot out flames from my exhaust on high rpms. Some of my friends told me that it might be doing that cuz i might be back firing or because my compression arent even. Does anybody know of any other reason why it might be doing that.

compression arent even? lol never heard that but flames shoot from the exhaust when youre running extremely rich (too much fuel)

shoting lol priceless. that could be alot of things. exhaust leaks, spark plug tune ect ect. my car tends to shoot flames. guess thats the result of no cats and what not

I know the ricers love it and it looks all grease lightening and stuff but that shouldent happen!! Some race cars flash during downshifting (? i dont know) but nothing like that. My guess is that RX7 is running rich after he getes off the throttle for some reason??? ID RATHER NOT REPAINT MY BUMPER!!

This is often the result of poor valve events such as broken valve springs or bent pushrods. Missed any shifts lately?

i know on one of my friends tbi camaro..whenever we retarded the timing,it would shoot flames out of the throttle(carb..whatever you want to call it)..had a tune lately,or perhaps past owner?
