Another New Member Greetings,
I joined the board today to become more knowledgable about the LS1. I currently have a LS1 Powered 1986 BMW 635CSi, so I guess it should be redesignated a 657CSi. The LS1 is the perfect engine for the car. It has the power & torque it should have had when it left the factory.
It's basically a stock, very free flowing LS1 (with T56) with a Diablo Sport Predator software upgrade. This engine/transmission came out of a wrecked 2001 SS Camaro. The engine is a very tight fit, so this project required custom headers to clear the "frame rails". Needless to say, I'm only aware of one other LSX (a LS2) install in this car, & that one is in California.
