Default A few unknown issues!!!

I have a 02 WS6 and i have a few issues with how its running/idling.....
this is hard to describe so please bare with me.....

when i first start up my car everything runs fine,
My car in neutral will normally idle around 700 or 800 rpms
after driving for id say 30 min or everything starts to act a little funny

1) when in neutral my car will start to idle around 1100 or 1200 rpms

2) on occasions such as today, i was driving in 5th going about 70mph, i was nearing traffic so i shifted to neutral as i left off the clutch and continued to coast in neutral the rpms shot up to about 2300 2400, again while in neutral

3) after exiting the highway, coming to traffic lights it did it again.
as i came to a red light i shifted to neutral, the rpms went dow to normal however as i stepped on the brake and began to slow down the rpms rose again to about 2200 2300 until i got below 10mph, then would sit and idle at about 1000 1100 rpms.....

4) now the last thing isn't too bad but does concern me, as i am driving my TCS light will turn on showing that its off, even though i had not pressed the button.
Ive seen similar post where the response is "learn to drive your car" and "just disconnect something" those replies aren't very helpful.

I just want to return my car to the condition it was when i bought it, so please only helpful responses
Thanks A Million!!!!!!

ok well i dont know what is wrong with your traction control but as far as the idle issue it sounds like it could be an idle air controle valve. I had a similar issue and it came to be the idle air control valve. Was lik $50 bucks or so at your local auto parts store. Hope you find the problem.

My traction control does the same thing, I've never really worried about it. As far as your idle goes if you have a completely stock vehicle then the idle air control is probably the first thing to try. It is a small plunger that mounts in the side of your throttle body.

Clean the maf before you do anything else. Before you replace the IAC try cleaning it first. They are expensive little boogers..

Yea it was. Dam near the same exact thing. Now if ur car is not completely stock and if u did something to the intake manifold there might be a vaccume leak some where. But I think its the iac valve
