F-Body's increased value?
just came back from a visit with the pops in sunny Western NY. he was saying that the gen IV's have been in higher demand than usual these days and it's a 'sellers' market. anyone else notice this in their neck of the woods?
the market sucks for buyers now, it pisses me off. I just sold my Z28 for what I thought was a killer deal (didn't even advertise) but really struggled to find a replacement. In fact, I am paying 25% above KBB value for the car I am picking up.

Well down here they resale pretty good, some times it does not matter how much you put in the car it matter how you take care of it. If anyone is going to pay high dollar for any car they expect it to be clean and takin care of. I think a very clean and well kept LS1 with minor bolt ons, will get you more than an ok kept LS! with head cam pkg. Just my .02

I got my 2000 for $11,500 though
i think the time of year and the place you look has alot to do with the price.you will get better deals in the winter than in summer.and you'll get a better deal on a sight like this compared to ,say, autotrader.
i bought my firehawk brand new in feb.02 then put about $10,000 into it.tried to sell it here and on others sites for $24,000 with no luck.ended up putting it on ebay in march this year and barely got my reserve of $22,000.the car only had 12,3xx miles on it.still smelled brand new and the car was in better than new condition.

It seems like in general, WS6's bring the best money, TransAm's and SS's do well, while Z28's and Formula's have a tougher go of it. And the old rule is that mods = zero value and may actually detract.

I'd like to try searching from there for a change.
