TTP not responding
PM's are going without response. So, I am hoping this post will get the ball rolling again.

Damian, lets just start with a response. I am really hoping for the followups promised.

I read this section daily but *very* rarely post here... but this one has motivated me.
Let me make sure I understand what you are saying here. You bought a *used* car from a person whom had previously bought parts from TTP for it when HE built it up. You bought it with no warranty (no one warrants a used car except for some dealerships; people do NOT), drove it several thousand miles, and took it to the track and raced it. While you were racing it, the engine got hurt. Now, it is somehow the fault of a shop that never even did any work for you? It's frustrating to have these things happen, but they *do* happen. It's also past silly to think that TTP owes YOU anything whatsoever.
If I have misunderstood, here please correct me. If *YOU* paid TTP to build an entire car and they did, and the engine immediately failed, then it would be nice of them to help out, though not required. If *YOU* have a warranty in writing with TTP and YOUR name on it (or a verbal contract in some states) then yes, they need to make good. But if you are really fussing because you bought a used car that has been through god-knows-what, drove it for a few thousand miles, and broke it at the track, then that is just not being realistic at all...
1. Oiling issues - I have no reason to believe that there were any oiling issues. Oil pressure was always rock steady and never dropped until the rod bolt punched a hole in the block. If anyone knows of anything that I can look for to confirm or deny an oiling issue, I would love input and I can check on it
2. Knocking/pinging....they tuned it for me.....however, there was no sign of knock/pinging either scanned, audible or on the piston. It would have shown a lot of abuse on the engine in order for that to have happened. On a side note. (I was trying to keep all of this in PM's, but it looks like I am being ignored now anyhow) With their tune, I had to change plugs every few times I started the car. I went through 4 sets of plugs in just a couple of months. Something obviously was not right there.
3. Inferior parts - This was built with all new premium parts....top to bottom. The rod bolts were ARP 2000. Is there anything better?
4. Incorrect installation - Tolerances are very tight and require precision. An overtorqued or undertorqued fastener is destined to fail. Installer error is a likely candidate. I can not confirm any other possibilites at this time.
PLEASE give me something else to look at/for if you believe that something else may have caused the failure. That is what I have been working on with Matt up until the last month.
That is exactly where I am at. I have never said in here or in discussion with Billy or Matt that I am expecting them to replace everything that was damaged. It sure as hell would be nice, but I am just looking for some help from a business that seems to have a good reputation.
If the latter I don't see how they could be anywhere near responsible for anything at all, in either case stuff happens out of all parties control. In 3000 miles anything could happen. If an ARP 2000 bolt failed it surely couldn't be loose for that entire 3000 miles: it wouldn't last as I've seen that scenario before, the one I know of lasted about 30 miles. If it was overtorqued it would likely show up in the remaining rod bolt as that would permanently stretch the bolt lengths, it would have to be stretched a good amount to fail, like 90lb ft instead of the 75lb ft to achieve .006"-.007" stretched clamping length. ARP probably would know a tad better for failure dimensions than my own numbers.
From your post it appears that you didn't buy the car from TTP, rather you purchased it through someone else who may have bought it from TTP? It sucks that it broke, but that's the nature of this hobby.
Aftermarket engines fail from time to time, and it doesn't matter who builds them. It happens. Suck it happened to you, but in no way should or would TTP be responsible for you buying a vehicle and then having an engine fail that they happen to build. I don't blame them one bit for not taking any responsibility in this matter, because I wouldn't either. It'd be different if they just built this motor for you yesterday, but it was built X,XXX miles ago in the car for another person.
Hopefully everyone reading this would disregard not wanting to use TTP because of this post.

...wait; that is how I took it when reading his post too...
That is exactly what feedback is provided for. Things do happen, but when someone is looking to spend thousands or even 10’s of thousands of dollars on a build they should be researching both the integrity of the businesses build practices AND their ability to resolve problems when/if they come up.
Right now I can tell you that I had a TTP built engine fail in less than 3000 miles AND they have begun and are continuing to ignore all of my contact with them.
Busy is fine, but when you cannot answer your phone or return emails and/or PM’s in almost 2 months…..something is not right. I would LOVE to stop by in person. However, I am stuck overseas. That is why I REQUIRE effective and consistent communication. This has been stressed to them and apparently is being ignored now.

Call the rod manufacturer and ask if the rods are warrantied. Or call ARP and ask them if the bolts are warrantied.
They'll tell you their warranty is limited to defects in material or craftsmanship. Once you install and run it, all bets are off.
I'm not looking to get in the middle of this, I just thought I'd comment on the whole warranty deal.
As mentioned, few if any would work on this car for free because it has been raced regardless of who built it. If you are spending in the quarter million build group then yes, its going to get taken care of but under that it falls on the owner to keep financing the builds.
You may still have someone come forward to lend a helping hand but with so many shops just trying to stay open and no warranty to start with, that could be a tough find.
