Texas Speed (Shipping Error Resolved)
Ok, So a few months ago I called TSP inquiring about a camshaft, and generally wanting to know what would be best for my setup. The representative didn't seem very happy to help, and I got the feeling he was annoyed with my questions, so I took it as they were really busy and didn't have time so I decided I'd call back at a different time.
Then- I call back a month later and am seriously interested (have the cash ready) to place an order, but want to go over some last minute questions. Again, I got the feeling he was annoyed and didn't want to waste his time talking to me about cams and whats best for my car etc.... He didn't offer any "extra" input on anything and was the really cut and dry-leave me alone type of conversation you'd get at a McDonald's drive through.
AGAIN- I chalked it up to TSP being very busy, and I decided I'd do the extra research myself here on ls1tech. I figured these guys were the best and probably weren't concerned with my tiny $800.00 order.
I then researched thunder racing and vengeance because I was pissed at the lack of input by TSP, and genuine lack of care.
In the end I gave TSP the benefit of the doubt and still ended up placing my order with them because they are so renowned here on tech. And I really liked the ms3 and their valvesprings etc..
Now here's the problem:
I only ordered 2 items.
Camshaft package-------ls2 timing chain. Thats it.
What do I receive?
Cam/valvesprings/retainers/seats/pushrods are fine. BUT, and i mean BUTTT
I got a set of
Random unmarked lifters which I believe to be ls7.
AND ONE OF THEM IS SEIZED AND CRACKED.
And NO timing chain.
At this point I'm like

I'm upset because after 2 pointless phone calls, unanswered emails, and then STILL giving them the benefit of the doubt I receive parts that are wrong, and would have Destroyed my motor- If I wasn't wise enough to look things over thank God....
I'm attaching a link

----Pic in link with red wd-40 straw. As you can see this lifter is cracked and the roller is seized (will not move whatsoever- Imagine that on your brand new cam lobe ! )
---Pic of the lifters I Shouldn't have received in the first place.
---Pic of my PO so you guys don't think I'm bullshitting lol.
Now- again, I'm not trying to bash a sponsor, but seriously think of the consequences that could have been caused by this if I didn't catch it.
Yes, I will be contacting TSP on monday, and assuming they fix everything (which I'm sure they will) I'll let you know.
I just thought this had to be brought to light, be careful of your lifters.

If you need anything else on the order, feel free to contact us and we'll help in any way we can. We are closed on the weekends however, and are not in the office to respond to emails and the like until Monday. During busy season, calling is always the best method to reach us. If the phones are busy I am sorry. We are doing the best we can to keep up with all the calls!
