Default Technically this is false advertising...

This banner is frequently posted on LS1tech but it is technically not correct.

The heads refered to below are actually LQ4/LQ9 cores machined to LS6 spec per PP. They do not have the 243 casting number an LS6 head has. They are LS6 spec but they are not actually LS6 heads. I think the banner should be updated to reflect the actual product PP is selling.

While that may seem a fine point it's there is a difference. Sort of like you can dress up a regular T/A with all the WS6 parts but it's still a T/A not really a WS6 car.

Likewise this banner on PP website is also false advertising but a disclaimer is stated after clicking on more info.

I don't think allowing PP to pass of non-LS6 heads as being LS6 heads is fair to the other sponsors. While PP will do as they please on their own website, I don't see why LS1tech would futher spread this mis-information by allowing the "LS6" banner to be displayed on this site.

You have quite a point there...... I wonder if someone bought a set and decided to take em to court for not being actual LS6 heads what would happen?????

If you visit their site, it clearly states that they are LQ4/LQ9 heads. Not many people know what "LQ9" means. They do know what LS6 means. The ports are identical. In fact, the larger chambers of the LQ4 heads flow BETTER than the LS6 heads.

Quote directly from the Patriot site, on the LS6 head page:

NOTE: What is an LQ9 head? The LQ9 head is GM's 6.0L head used on various GM trucks. This head has the same ports as the LS6 head and flows identical however it offers the larger combustion chamber at 71.06 for a lower compression
I made that banner for Patriot. I would hardly say it is false advertising if you must visit the site to read the info, and order a set. I think this thread was started to stir up more ****, especially based on what components I see in your signature. I'm not going to warn you again about this crap, this is your warning.

Tony
