Smile Hey Eric - MWC

I want to remain civil and keep our issues in the past, but your smart attitude in your PM leads me to believe you want something other so I ask you please, lets rectify this situation.

This person has opened up more in another thread so here's the real story... I have a reputable business to run and don't need any more negative from this.

OK people... here we go. I was going to stay out of all this because everyone knows we go out of our way to help our customers, but I feel I need to set the story straight not to have our reputation tarnished and I'm sure most everyone will understand.

Well over a year ago Eddie orders a housing and axle package and is doing so because it is the best deal he can get but doesn't get much of any options claiming to be on a super tight budget... so be it. We deal with this situation all the time and always do what we can to help a guy out. He comes back and wants me to do a center section as well, but with a bunch of used parts from Ebay. I really don't like to do this but felt his situation and said ok, show me what you are looking at and I will give you my opinion. A few weeks go by and his used stuff starts to come in to us and I get it looked over.

A dirty stock Ford case shows up and is cracked- unusable. A worn ring and pinion shows up...ok, whatever. Eddie locates a spool and turns out to be the wrong spline and asks if I can help out. This spool is supposed to be a brand new 35 spline Strange lightweight chromemoly steel, I said I will swap you one out for the correct one, no problem, no charge. It shows up and is a used 31 spline Moser. This is just a few of the issues...

In the end I convince Eddie that the stock case isn't a very good idea anyway and sell him a brand new Strange nodular case at almost cost just to keep the ball rolling and help out. I put the correct spool in it coupled with the rest of his used Ebay parts and get this thing out the door, shipped just like the several hundred we have done. I insure it for 700.00, the correct value of the new and used parts that it is actually worth. A couple weeks more go by and he says my center section never showed up. Ok... I will look into it. I do the legwork and it turns out we have a pda signature from the receiver that says the parts were delivered successfully and signed for. He claims he never got it. He's in Jacksonville, Fla., I'm in central Illinois... I can't do much about it and am suspicious anyway due to the fact he is claiming to be so broke and out of money now with school and all that, but yet is able to build a performance car(he's plenty busy here in the classifieds)

I finally tell him if he wants to make a claim that I want nothing to do with it and release all the dealings(because I am the shipper) to him(Eddie) via FedEx. I spoke with the FedEx reps and give them my side of the story and tell them it's their money do what you want, but this is my end of the story and I don't want to be involved because there is a signature for the shipment... I did my part. The rep says they are gonna pay him. I can't believe a driver(all FedEx drivers are independent contractors) would risk a job for something like this, especially in this economy, but hey... anything is possible. I can't remember the exact number, but Eddie files the claim for over 1000.00(cost of complete new) for a center section I valued at 700.00 with used parts in it. Something is wrong here with the numbers and sounds like trying to profit to me. Whatever... I'm not gonna be the one going to jail for fraud.

Then the bomb drops... I get a notice in the mail stating a credit card chargeback has been initiated from Eddie on the matter when he has already been paid from FedEx. Double dipping and now its coming out of my pocket when I did as much as I could do to help him out in the first place with the entire transaction and his used parts! I filed my papers and win the case, then he turns around and appeals it trying to chargeback again. I go through the same process again and win the appeal...again. Now he's all mad.

So after all this goes down I am getting phone calls from Eddie with being cussed out, called names, then threatened with a lawyer. Lawyer eh... ok... do what you gotta do, but you and me are done... now and forever.

Quite a while goes by and he contacts me and says he wants to sell the housing package... fine. He wants a parts list. Sorry, I can't find your info, my attorney has it. Send me a pic of what you have and I will give you all the info on it... he says no, I don't want to get it out of the box.
Over a year goes by and he wants me to give him a part that was supposed to not be in the container being all nice... 10 day missing parts policy... just like every other company has. Sorry, we don't use that style or brand anymore, but here's the part number.

I'm washing my hands and now the entire LS1Tech world and beyond has the real story.
