Default MTI follow-up....

I posted this in the Texas forum as well, but I figured it would be a good idea for those who don't read posts in there for me to post it up in here...

Ok, well I won't go into detail about our first trip out to MTI to get my bf's (Dwayne, 98sspullin'em) car tuned...

to make a long story short, we weren't happy with the tuning job, the car kept dying on hot starts, and driving down the road, causing lots of problems...

we have been extremely busy (my bf working a shutdown including weekends and going to school full time, and me working and going to school full time) so we have been unable to really find time lately after my Dwayne had installed his new motor and transmission to go to Houston... we just never had a FULL day to make time for it...

ok, well we went to MTI today for the retune and I would like to say that the visit went extremely well... I was very pleased!!

Jayson fixed the tune and was able to find why the car wasn't able to start right up on "hot starts" He fixed that problem and also was able to find another problem with the car that my bf had pointed out to him (nothing to do with the tune, just a problem with the BRAKE and ABS lights coming on) for no reason...

They put the car on the Dyno for 3 pulls as well. They did this all for free... as Jayson was busy and we weren't really able to speak with him in too much depth about anything except the new tune, we were able to speak with David (usually works on Saturdays -- "Poolfanatic") he is one of the Moderators on this site...

He is the most friendliest person I have yet to deal with from ANY car place we have dealt with since me and Dwayne both got our cars... He showed up as the car was being pulled around to the dyno and he sat with us and told us how much HP we were getting after each pull... He is a very personal and friendly guy. Not only did we talk about our cars, but about his as well, and racing and just BS'ed for a little bit...

After we found an oil leak problem with Dwayne's car after the dyno pulls, David called over one of the tech guys and had him check it out on the spot... after he told us what he thought the problem was, David asked the tech explain to us in very much detail on how much trouble this would be to fix, and how how time consuming it would be... after that, David told us if we needed any parts from a GM place to fix the leak, to call him or PM him and he would have the parts shipped from his store, to the closest GM place to us to guarentee that they were the right parts...

I have to say after all, that MTI came through and made up for ANYTHING that we were unpleased with... We liked having David there, as he was very friendly and answered every question we had in great detail... They topped us off with oil, and we came home... all for nothing!!

In the future, we will definaly think of MTI first if we need anything done to the car.... Wayne, behind the counter, was also as friendly to us as he could be since the phone was ringing OFF THE HOOK almost the entire time we were there...

Thanks to MTI and to David especially for keeping in contact with us, working with us, and being a very pleasant person to deal with

So anyways, this was just to fill all of you people in that were wondering how this appt. went!!
