To all the transmission shops... i bought a built 4l80e transmission from a sponsor a few years back, it lasted great until i over heated it one day at the race track (even then it still worked and didnt slip)... i wont say where it came from as im pretty happy with the way it held up, BUT would you guys PLEASE please check the bolts you put in our transmissions i had a hard time with multiple bolts in this thing being too rounded off to get out and had to run to the transmission shop a few times due to having to beat a socket on them to get them out... also, check our hard parts for damage, i found out pulling my direct that it looked like someone had scarred it up pretty bad somehow removing it and i cut my finger on the huge burr. i took to rebuilding this thing myself because im a little hard up on money and it worked great FYI, and i dont want to go flaming the shops but to everyone, RPM, JAKES, TCI, MAD DOG, FINISH LINE , ETC... problems i had were valvebody bolts, pressure manifold bolts and the o-rings missing on the pump bolts... for a 2500+ transmission i want to be able to tear it down and not see anything messed up besides what i burn up/broke.
