Default Absolute Speed, Heads and pushrods

In early May I picked up a set of 6.0 heads and pushrods. The ad said new heads. I finally got the heads today. These heads look like they have been beat to hell. Scar's everywhere, outside of head and on mating surfaces. Plus, there are no 7.4 New pushrods with the heads. Now I know they are moving so the time frame of shipping is fine with me. I understand the hassle of moving. I understand if the pushrods slipped shipping. But, the ad of the heads said new. I expected new, not scratched, scared heads. I can understand that the heads were probably held in place by some device for machining, but these marks are not that.
I can post pics if anyone wants to see. I appreciate a deal, but not this. Called, no answer. Jay, please call me. If I had known they were used I would have just bought new ones from you. I got them in the ad you posted with the 5.7 1.5 used heads and the used 5.3 stg. II heads. Mine were supposed to be the old casting 6.0 stg. II New heads that you had laying around.
Also, no receipt or shipping order. I'm really not trying to be an *** Jay, but this is kinda wrong.

I have never had anything but positive experiences with Jay, he is a little hard to get a hold of sometimes, but he will make it right, and when it is all said and done, I'm sure you will be happy and have a kickass set of heads.

I hope so, I am just concerned about the sealing issues. There are scars on the intake side, the exhaust side and bad scars on the valvecover side. The one head looks like it got dropped on course concrete. The port and valve job look top notch as I would expect from him. I do understand these were probably cores as that is the business, but man they are beat bad. I've tried calling, left another message, tried e-mail. His address comes back everytime as having a fatal error. Didn't know what else to do but post here.
I have two other LS1's that need heads too.

I cant see Jay sending the heads out like that. I know he does get the 6.0 heads brand new. Are you sure it wasnt a shipping problem, seeing as how the heads are prob. milled. If it is a shipping problem contact Jay and leave him a message telling so. I know Jay insures his heads for $3500 or so. As for the pushrods he might have had them drop shipped to you buy another vendor.

No shipping problem that I can see. I thought about that and looked over the box, no issues with it at all. The heads were packed fine. I'll try to post a pic tonight. I've left messages, be nice if one were returned. Contacts to him on here have also gone un-answered. I'm aware of the move so I'm just waiting. I'm cool with the pushrods, mistakes happen, no biggy. Still haven't recieved any yet. The "new" heads though, are an issue as are the scars.

Ok, here's the update. I finally got a hold of Jay on the phone. He gave me an e-mail addy to send pics to. So I did. It's been around two weeks now. Left messages, just can't seem to catch him.
He told me the pushrods were on backorder so he couldn't send any. He said to order from Thunder. I guess I was supposed to figure that out for myself.
Jay, what can we do about this?
Thanks,
Will

I am confident he will make this right for you in some way. Yes, he is very difficult to get a hold of (I only send him e-mail) but he will respond eventually. Sounds like something may have happened to the heads before/during shipping, aluminum can be damaged fairly easily. It may take some time to get resolved, but hang in there.

Can you post the pics for us to see? 99% of all sctartches will seal with no problems since we have rubber gaskets of the intake and valve covers. The deck side shouldnt be a problem because of the head gaskets and the exhaust side is the same.

Jay will do everything in his power to make it right.
