Strano - Bad Experience
Hate to do it, I have only heard great things about the guy, but that sure was not my experience. I feel as though I have given Sam plenty of time to make things right, and he has chosen to ignore my six requests going back to May 7th.
The story is that I ordered some wheel spacers/adaptors from Sam and when I received them they were not they style that he described and not what I wanted/ordered. He stated multiple times in the emails that these were “bolt on” spacers with new studs pressed into them, when in fact they were just regular spacers. They did have longer studs included but then I would have to take the hubs off, hammer our the old ones, and press in the new ones. I feel that Sam misrepresented the parts, and then charged me for shipping both ways ($26). I don’t think I should have to pay for his screw up, especially not for shipping BOTH ways.
After notifying Sam that they were incorrect and him agreeing to accept the return he would no longer respond to my emails (sent May 7, 8, 16, and 22). On June 1st I called and the person at Strano would not let me talk to Sam. They asked who I was and what I was calling about and then said that Sam was working on it. I said that he hadn’t responded to my two previous emails, so if he could respond that would be great. After still getting no response I left a voice message for Sam on June 19th asking him to call or email me and provided my info. Again after getting no response I am leaving this feedback.
I will attach the email correspondence so you can all decide for yourselves. I find some humor in his confident response when I questioned the spacers after getting the part number on the invoice. I knew he was well respected and figured he knew his stuff, I guess I was too trusting. What gets me is not responding to my emails and phone calls. Strano’s facebook page has been updated plenty while this issue has been going on, so I assume he is just ignoring my messages. I know where I won’t be going for my up and coming suspension needs.
