Thunder Racing keeping up the service!!!
I ordered my cam (224/224 .561 112) and swap package the other night from them and they just called me today to ask if it was okay to upgrade me to the Isky 295 springs, in light of the current situation with the comp 918s.
Now in my post the other night My cam install qusetion post... somebody asked what I would do about the springs and I somewhat smuggishly stated that I was sure that TR would take care of me, and They proved it by calling me and taking care of it.
Damn these guys are as good and better than I'd heard and ever expected.
way to go Thunder!!!

Re: Thunder Racing keeping up the service!!!
I ALWAYS go through Thunder. They have the best Customer Service if you ask me.
For my last order, they didn't have a part that I needed, and I had to go through another sponser. All of a sudden I was finding myself calling on orders, not getting called back, wondering when in the hell is this stuff showing up.
After dealing with Thunder for most of my purchases it was an obvious night and day difference. They are a great shop in my opinion.

Joe Prince Racing did the same for me. At first the heads I ordered were gonna have 918's, then he said he was gonna do the Isky's.
Ive had a 918 break, but I credited it to lifter failure. Might still try to get some COMPensation though.

Re: Thunder Racing keeping up the service!!!
I agree that Thunder Racing has THE BEST customer service (period) I've called PAUL a number of times about stuff they dont even sell, just to get a second opinion on things, and he wont hang up till I understand everything. Thats why I always go thru T.R. for everything. I wish they would have started selling the FLP level IV tranny, they would have had my buisness on that too. Keep up the GREAT work.

What do I do? Keep the 918's or ship them right back to Thunder? Its for their TR230/224 cam. They have a great product and their service with the cam was awesome but I'm a little confused on these springs all of a sudden.

Re: Thunder Racing keeping up the service!!!
I didn't have quite the same luck as all of you. I ordered the Comp 918's and Comp titanium retainers about a month ago, probbaly a little longer. They told me they were backordered the day I ordered them and to wait 2 weeks so I did. Then it went another week, then another week. Which was alright I understand when things get backordered. Then I finally got an email asking me to call them about my order. So I call them up and the guy starts telling me the same thing. That the Comp 918's are having failures all over the place and that they didn't recommend using them. So I say ok and he goes to look up my order and after he realizes they already have been shipped to me he immediatly changed his tune. He starts telling me they have only actually heard of one breakage and that the spring is really good and I should still go with them. I was like what the hell? But I said alright whatever. Now i'm confused.

On keeping with the topic Thunder Racing really is a great sponsor. Their product and service has been great. This one little thing won't stop me from using them in the future. I just want to hear what you guys think I should do.

Thanks for the nice comments
Java,
That's right, not everyone agrees, but you know what? Not everyone likes vanilla, that's why there's chocolate. No one is forcing you to like us, so I have to assume that you are just trying to pick a fight? If you have something to say to me or anyone at Thunder Racing, you know my e-mail and my phone number.

Angie, my comment was not directed at your company, I should have been more specific ... I meant to quote the guy above, not everyone agrees that the 918 springs are a problem. Sorry if you took it a different way.
