Speed Inc Suggestion

Speed Inc Suggestion Its just a suggestion. If someone orders something, it makes them really happy to know where their stuff is. I ordered a set of headers and multi other items. i had to call to find out why i didn't have a tracking #. that is when I found out my stuff had not been shipped. This was three days after i had ordered the Items. Now this is not a flame, The person i spoke to was very helpful and said he was sorry and didn't know why i had not received a e-mail or a notice of some sort.
My suggestion is plain, please keep on top of letting people know where their orders are.
other then that Speed inc is an awesome company with really good prices.
P.S. i just made 2 more orders could i get my tracking #'s.... not a joke BTW.

Both placed after 7pm last night and going out today. The tracking numbers will work this afternoon and will be emailed to you by the UPS software.
I currently have a folder of backorders, the good news is that we have worked through half of them. The bad news is I could used a slew of curse words to describe some of the backorder conditions and communication from manufacturers - and that we still have more to wait on. In fact between 5 common items that were delayed this month we were never this backed up. Some items were not a long wait and have gone out - some items are indeed still on backorder.
I sincerely apologize for any of the waits as we are doing our best here, and with the pre-season rush we have not been able to be as proactive with backorder announcements as we would like to be. We have been very prompt with responding to emails in regards to these back ordered items as well being easily accessible by phone.
But yes, I have been thinking of a way to send automated backorder messages to customers.

no problem i may be ordering and engine now lol and it's all Speed Inc's fault....just kiding.
I received my headers and lid and new filter and some other stuff today. I got home and they were sitting on my porch waiting for me i was so happy. I figured I had a little light left so I was going to install my lid and filter. after a clean install, meaning I didn't screw anything up. I wanted to see how my car liked the new stuff. I started my car and a terrible banging noise started from under my car. me being a new gearhead and all I thought it was something loose or something I left under the hood. well to make a long story short I had some people from TMCA my local car club come to my rescue and let me know it was a death nock and i had broke something internal. the bad thing about all this is for tha last 2-3 day i havent gone above 3,000RPM because I was throwing cat codes and was trying to baby it untill my parts got here. for god sake I haven't gone above 45 MPH in 2-3 days I think i got passed by a guy on a push scooter.
Well i thank you for your responce and if you get time could you throw me a list of prices for your motors that will fit in a 2002 Trans Am with an automatic tranny.

Jon, I'm going to make you do a sticky on what happens with backorders and how getting stuff from manufactur/foundry companies work.

You guys are all great there was a small delay with my stuff but it worked out in the end. The headers look great, and will sound better when my exhaust gets here. I should have ordered the exhaust through you guys but you live and learn. i ordered my exhaust the same day i ordered my headers and i still don't have exhaust. the cops around here i showing me much love.
