Texas speed got me out of a bind.. Well i am in the process of swapping from a th350 to t56. i bought a complete setup from a local wrecked donor car. so i went to a local shop and purchased a ram clutch and adjustable master cylinder. also scheduled a date 2 weeks later for them to do the swap and dyno tune it. well i talked to a friend of mine who has a lift and everything in his garage told me he would help do the swap so i could learn how and save me money. i called the shop back and cancelled the swap but kept the dyno time to tune it for the 6 speed. being that the car is my daily driver i waited till last wednesday to start on the swap. i called all that day and couldn't get ahold of the shop. we still went on and yanked the auto out and started pulling apart the interior to install the new center console and pedal assembly. thursday the local shop finally answered the phone and said my clutch is on backorder. now i wasn't upset about it being backordered just a call would have been nice. well now my car is in a million parts and no clue when my clutch will be in. well a friend i bought the swap from recommended texas speed. said he believed that they keep the clutch i needed in stock. called spoke with a guy named john. gave me the price and said i would have the clutch and master cylinder by monday. went by thunder racing bought the minor arp bolts and poly mount for the transmission and scheduled some dyno tune time there for thursday. there was a minor delay but its working out. i will do a photo journel and post the finish product after i am done.
