Thumbs down Lm Speed RESOLVED

All started off well. Ed answered all of my questions I had about the magnacharger for the F-body. He seemed to be knowledgeable and was very nice during the PM's and phone calls. I decided to purchase from him. After that, it has all been downhill. He didn't ship the supercharger on time. Once I did receive it, it didn't have instructions. He told me he found them in the shipping department and he would overnight them to me. They never showed. Finally, I found out the instruction didn't even exist. He said he had to redo them completely, but would get them out soon. Well, that was over a month ago and now I'm done, but still no instructions. Many times Ed told me he would call, but never did. I sent my computer to him (per his instructions) to get a tune so I could start the car before I took it to get a dyno tune. The tune was just so I could start it. Well, he was going to overnight the computer (along with other parts he left out) back to me, but of course it didn't go out on time. Once I did get it, the tune was so rich that the car wouldn't idle and I fouled the plugs out just by letting the car run for a few minutes. Once I got the car to the dyno, they couldn't tune it because Ed had locked the computer to his software even though he knew exactly what my plan was. I tried to get in touch with him, but of course I couldn't. He won't return my calls. Well, I purchased another computer so I could get the tune. All went well with the new computer, but come to find out, I have the wrong pulley on the supercharger. The pulley should be a 3.2 good for 7lbs, but I got 3.4 pulley good for 5lbs. Now I will have to buy a new pulley and get retuned. Of course, Ed still won't answer or return my calls, so he is of no help to me. I just hope that after he gets his shop going, he will have better customer service skills. This has been a terrible experience. I'm sure there are reasons why other people that are installing this kit don't have a running car at the moment. Possibly because they can't get the support they need??

I was able to get in touch with Ed today. He apologized for not being able to respond to my messages. He said he just had the phone turned on in his new building and is getting internet access. I spoke to him about belt shredding issues I am having with the maggie and he assured me he would get this taken care of. He also assured me that he had no intention of locking the computer and he doesn't know how that happened. That's all water under the bridge now. Ed seemed concerned and truely wanted to help with my problem. I'll update as this progresses.

I won't post for a sponsor directly unless I've spoken to them, but there was no doubt you wouldn't be taken care of.

Hope this all works out and give yourself extra time on the kit getting all tweaked out. Its a given.

Hi Tim,

Still really sorry about all this BS, but it's just teething pains from being brand new and having to do EVERYTHING myself! I PM'd you my cell number, so as soon as you know for sure what we need, just call me and I'll send it to you with the new pulley. I still don't know what happened with the computer, but I know I never entered any codes, or numbers to purposely lock it. I had Jesse Bubb from Wait4me in my shop the other day, and he had the locked ECM window popup on his screen on a car we both knew wasn't locked, so he was concerned that it was a glitch of some kind. If you send me the other ECM, I'll see if I can get into it, if so, I'll buy it from you.

We finished Badmonkey's car today and it worked really well, so get ahold of me and we'll get yours going just as good.

Ed
