Cool Trifecta performance is awesome

Well let me start this off with the transaction. I was in Afghanistan and I had just purchased a 2002 Z06 back in the states and I wanted to get a mail order tune as I was short on time with the car during an R&R leave. I emailed Vince over at Trifecta performance and he was glad to help meet my needs. He sent me an easy form to fill out with what mods I had and what other things I wanted done in the tune. After couple of emails we had everything straight on what I needed. And here is the list.

Tune for Longtubes, ! cats, and Vararam intake and stock injectors. (important later)
160 deg thermostat, ! skip delete, ! rear O2 and a few other things.

So he agreed to have the no hassle module at my door when I got home for leave and guess what. IT was there!!!

So I throw the tune in after doing a few other things (seafoam,Techron, oil change, fuel filter change, plug change) and it started to run extremely rich and I was like crap as I was under a time crunch. I called Vince thinking it was the tune and he had me send the “stock” tune back to him. I sent the tune back to him via email with the tuning module that was included (No extra scanning software needed!). He looked over it for about 20 minutes on Sunday night (to boot) and called me back. Come to find out the car had 42lb injectors! He gladly right there on the spot sent out a new tune via email and helped me out over and above in my time of need. I threw the tune in and then I had a misfire as well after a test drive.

When I initially got home the day before all of this other stuff occurred I had found a front O2 wire unplugged which I plugged back up while I was pulling maintenance. This was because the dealer had unplugged the driver’s side O2 and had left it hanging as the car would not run on both O2’s in closed loop (burnt lead on the driver’s side).

So I called him back explained the situation and he kindly helped me troubleshoot a little over the phone. Come to find out with Vince’s help again Bank 1 was extremely rich as the Dealership tech who had installed the clutch for the previous owner a few weeks back had switched the O2’s around. So after a few phone calls to Vince and the previous owner all problems were solved and the car runs great now with all mods but this took 3 days to finally nail down everything and get the car to run correctly.

I just want to give Vince his dues. He took time out to help me and get me what I needed and spent extra time to help satisfy the customer for once. Don’t find people who will do this. Oh and after all the extra help he credited 20.00 back to my account for getting the tuner back in the mail after 3 days which really it was 4 but that is just the kind of guy he is. Would definitely do business again and he is a stand up guy.

Thanks again Vince I won't forget it.
