Angry Thunder Racing

The last 2 things I have ordered from them have left a sour taste in my mouth.
I ordered a cam that was suppose to take 2 weeks and ended up taking over a month to get. Now I ordered a lower intake shell (thursday morning) and I can't get an update. 4 business days later. Not to mention everytime I call I get a different answer.

Ryan,

I'm not sure who you are so I can't address your concerns directly but I can tell you that if you ordered a cam package with Patriot springs in the last 2 months, they have been on perpetual backorder from Patriot which would hold up your cam kit. If you ordered a custom grind cam, they can take up to two weeks just to be cut. I'm not sure what your particular situation is but I would be happy to research it and take care of any concerns you may have. Regarding your FAST intake shell, some of the lower and or inner pieces are on backorder from FAST. We have no control over manufacturer delays and can only give you estimates based on what we are told.

I am sorry for your dissappointment with us. We have had a huge surge in business in the last 6 weeks and are doing all we can to take care of each and every customer just as we always have. Please contact me directly and I will do my best to make things right for you.

Thanks,
Shane

Ryan....as the former manager at Thunder, I can back up what Shane is saying. Often it is the manufacturer that causes the delays. Thunder stocks many parts on the shelf, but those particular parts are not usually stocked, so it is up to the manufacturer to deliver on time, and unfortunately they often have delays on their end.

It is hard to be patient sometimes, and diificult to get through to Thunder at times, as they are on the phones all day helping someone out.

If there is a good reason ie a backorder you cant blame them. But every time I call I get a different answer and not one of them has been a backorder and that is sad. I called twice yesterday and was told I would get a call back and never did.

Thanks for the help Angie. Reckless was right they were being held up by the manufacturer. Can't blame them for that.

Well you guys had me thinking I was over reacting at first. Now after hear the same f'ing song and dance all week. I'm done with you guys! If you couldnt get the part all you had to do was say so. I would have went somewhere else. But no. You had to keep telling me everytime I called that Comp was to blame for the hold up and not to worry. You kept telling me that is had already shipped or it would be shipped that day. Yet somehow you fail to produce a simple tracking number when you said that you would. I just dont get it.

Ryan,

I have just responded to your PM. I will apologize here in the public forum again and will reiterate that we have been totally honest with you from the start. I have forwarded this whole issue to the appropriate persons at Comp Cams in the hope that our reputation with you will be restored. Angie and I have spent in excess of three hours on the phone trying to get shipping info and were assured time and again that the intake shell was shipped. I believe that this incident was the impetus for Comp to dissasemble a few FAST 78's in order to get your and one other customers inner shells out. I would have gladly shipped it next day air if Comp had not assured me it had already shipped. I wish there was something else I could do to make things right.

Sorry again.

Shane
