Bought a shortblock from texas speed

Bought a shortblock from texas speed I got a 402 built by texas speed. I ordered it the second week of December.
It was built with a callies crank/rod combo with diamond pistons. I upgraded the bolts throughout.
The good:
The motor runs flawlessly. No smoking on start up, no knocking, nothing. The guy who put it in my car said that it was a top quality job. I am happy for this. Actually it makes my day and then some. This 402 was built for boost, and i feel that the twin turbo set up I have on it is going to put up stout numbers over a long time with this shortblock.
The bad
I was quoted a 3-4 week build time. It took about 9 weeks. I was not informed about the extra build time or evern told when things were going to be shipped. I just woke up one day and found my check card had been hit for the other 1/2 of the money for the engine. That is when i called and found out what was going on exactly.
Overall, I am pretty happy. I will continue to order parts from texas speed. Up untill the engine build, they had been spot on. They were spot on after with the parts I ordered after the build as well. And to be honest, the extra time is worth the fact that the engine is running so smooth. Communication is key though

Thanks for your continued business over the past year! Glad to hear everything is working well with your new setup. I'm sorry it took so long to finally get the short-block built and to you. I believe we were waiting on the cranks if memory serves me correctly. However, with what you are looking to do with the motor I think we made the right choice in components to meet and exceed the needs for your project.
