Question Texas-Speed (Return Process Sucks)

Well I have been working on my 383 project for about 7 weeks now. I sent payment on July 3rd for my Crane 10308 springs to Texas-Speed. Well I waited patiently for 9 business days to get them. Keep in mind that I to am from Texas and shipping shouldn't take more than say 3 day at a max. So by the 15th (12 real days since the order) I still haven't gotten anything. I call them up and they said they will see whats up with my order. They get back in touch with me real quick and let me know that Crane 10308 springs are on back order until August 20th (something that still is not listed on their site). I'm pretty frustrated with that but don't get mad on the phone or anything and let them no politely no hard feelings but I can't wait that long I will have to go with a different setup for springs and that I need a refund. THIS WAS ON JULY 15TH. I wait for a full week until July 22nd with no refund posted and call them up. Apparently they do refunds at their convenience and mine was still sitting on the desk. So I ask what the deal is and I get told it will most likely get sent out that day on the 22nd (a pretty much not straight forward answer to buy more time). I say ok and accept assuming they will atleast get it out that week. Well here we are today on July 30th and nothing has been posted to my account. I called up just a moment ago and got told that IT IS STILL ON THE DESK AWAITING TO BE FILED FOR RETURN. At this point I state my case with Matt on the phone letting him know I've been more than patient and I need my money back. I ask if I can get a PayPal instant payment so atleast I can have the money today. **** it I will take the 3% loss at this point. He acts like that normally can't be done. What the hell!? Here are my points of frustration with Texas-Speed at this point...

- You need to list when something is on backorder. Even if you didn't know on my order how many other times has this happened in the last month?

- Refunds need to be instantly filed the same day as the request. It's bad business IMHO to do them at your convenience. If I buy something from Circuit City for example I don't expect them to tell me to wait two weeks when I bring it back not working because that is when they do returns.

- If that really is your typical refund policy it really should be posted on the site to alert people that their money can be tied up for quite a while.

Texas Speed is a great business that has done great things for a lot of people and I have bought from them before with great results. However the same can not be said for their return policy as it has taken at this point 15 days. It just sucks because I really need that money. Being 21 for a lot of guys even if it's just a couple hundred bucks can make a difference if your building a stroker on a budget.

If you guys can the PayPal thing would be more than great.

Disclaimer: I have called and spoke with TSP several times before this message and it is more to help others out in advance and ask if a product is in stock. I've seen a few instances on this site alone about this same experience.

Sorry for the delay getting in this thread. I've been working on heads like crazy & didn't notice it.

First off, I apologize for Crane being back-ordered on their spring kits. Unfortunately, we don't sell many Crane spring kits so knowing Crane's inventory would be difficult.

TSP, like many companies, has a day set aside for bills payable & credit processing. Most companies operate this way because it keeps management from being stretched out too thin worrying about a single credit. I checked on the status of your credit, & it was issued to your charge card. Unfortunately, we cannot refund by a different method other than how the payment was received. Feel free to post up or call with a fax number, and I will be happy to send you a copy of the merchant credit sheet and credit memo.

Feel free to give us a call with any questions or concerns.
