Average MPG Just wondering what everyone was averaging. I run premium fuel, don't do alot of highway driving mostly city and am averaging 15.5. I've had my car for about 2 months nown got rid of my 04 GTO for the GP GXP to get better mileage with the dod and 15.5 is what I was getting in the goat. Just wondering if everyone was around the same number or what

i was gettin 11 when i first got it, but now i get 17 with all city and im pretty easy on the gas. i got like 25 on my trip this past summer doin 80-85 on the interstate. i have dod disabled as well.

i was getting almost 500 miles on a tank of gas @ 60mph all highway. My cadillac shows how much gas you use to a decimal. When i drive 60mph it will only use .1 of a gallon in like 5 minutes. But when i heavly acclerate to get on the highway i can end up using .3 gallons of gas in just a few seconds.

lifetime average is 21.1 mpg... no DOD, that has been disabled...
50/50 city/highway driving... not babied either... hit 100+mph a few times a week, take people out at the lights, etc

City kills you, period, unless you get it out on the highway at least 40 percent of the time your average is going to be below 18... the GXP has no advantage over the GTO in city driving. DOD "shines" on the highway.

mixed city/highway/traffic driving I average 19-21 MPG if I keep it at 60 MPH while on the freeway, coasting from light to light, light throttle, etc.
Lately I've been driving more spirited, tapshift in the city in 1st-2nd gear, hard throttle starts, and I'm at 17.2 MPG so far on this tank.

with the new cam it seems to be mixed....ok I lied the cam did awesome to increase gas mileage while I've gotten more lead footed due to performance gains.
If I set my cruise at 80 and don't have any urge to fly off the handle and punch it to 100+ the car averages close to 25mpg just watching the inst mpg dic. That being said I've averaged about 200-225 miles per tank of gas since the cam swap, I'm on the 4th tank of gas now but I can't keep my foot off the pedal.....so I can't really give you any real mpg numbers except I love driving the car around a lot now, I'll attempt next tank of gas to drive like a normal human being and see what kind of mileage I can get.
