Default stock spring load

does anyone know what the stock spring load is rated to be?

I had my stock springs tested here are the results

90lbs @ 1.8"
265lbs @ 1.2"

said that they are about 20lbs low

comp cam 918's are

130lbs @ 1.8"
318lbs @ 1.2"

Kinda makes me wonder if weak springs did lead to the valve float issues that resulted in the bent valves. If so would I have a valid case against GM to request price of parts plus labor back for the work I had done?

I duno what they told u but if my **** was under warranty and they refused to fix a problem i woulda left the fuqin car there and then called GM and broke loose hell on all them *******.

more or less I didn't care, I've been looking for a reason to upgrade the car and this gave me the reason to do it.

Now the stock springs may have been a leading cause as to the complete failure of the system. If there is viable proof that this was a definitive cause I might be able to get the 2300 they were gonna charge me to do the valve job and call it even. I honestly don't give a rats *** about it the money has already been spent and I am happy with the car and how it performs now. If I can get 2300 out of them just means 2300 more I can dump into the car for something else like a tranny upgrade .

just another reason for everyone to upgrade their valvetrain.
