Thanx for the advice Well after reading the posts by other members on the site I took my stock GXP back to the track. And followed the insructions by leaving the traction control on and starting in D then shifting to M after the car shifts into second. Doing that along with great weather is what got me this time.

I am little newer to the forums but glad to see a few local guys since I am from Springfield as well. I have yet to run my GXP yet but used to run my GTP a few years back on many nights. I was at the Clubgp Branson meet here a few months back and the one guy running his GXP was only running 14.2 or so and that was with DP, Magaflow Catback exhaust and the K&N intake system on a 65 or so degree day.
I dont think they track was prepped very well because I used to run right around 14 flat with the little mods my GTP had and people with much bigger mods were running slower times than that. I go out there still every so often to watch so maybe I will get to see you guys run. I would like to run mine just to get an idea of how it compares

and as for the temp rule, my car said it was 37* and people were still racing and since it is going to be the last time this year I think it would take a lot for them to canel it. Last edited by Super six; Nov 13, 2008 at 06:32 PM.
