Impala SS Traction Issue - strange

I have an 08 Impala SS - when I stomp the gas from a stop light it spins the front wheels a little bit then the traction control takes over and ruins the fun.
My question is - when I turn the traction control off and do the same thing I don't get a huge burn out. It spins a bit, then a bog, spins a bit, then a bog, etc. What the hell is that?
I'd appreciate any insight.

Differential score protection. Programmed into the computer so you don't peg leg it and destroy the diff unit. Burnouts work better when going straight so it doesnt one leg it.

Without traction control if i'm going in a straight line and traction control off it will burn the wheels for 8/9 seconds almost all the way to 50mph. There was alot of stuff added into our cars to control torque steer as far as half shafts and other crap i can't remember these things are the reason why we don't do 1 wheel burnouts in straight lines like most fwd cars would do.

It happened once at the dragstrip on my old GXP and I dismissed it as a "bog" since I didn't know what it was. It happens just about every time I do an aggressive straight line hit from a stop with no tc on my SS.
Does Vector Motorsports tune remove it?
