got an 05 gxp and its having issues. its speratic but some time when it shifts the rpms go up, then you can feel it get in gear and it clunks. basiclly its slipping.

it doesnt do it all the time. i took it in since it has an ext warrenty but of course it didnt do it for them, and they said it had no slipping codes.

transmission fluids looks good, and is full.

anyone have this issue and get it fixed?

 

Unfortunately, you need a re-build. Many, many people have this issue. The problem is they connected a V-6 transmission to a V-8 with a little too much torque.

I also have a GTP that's built pretty good and never had any problems. I also need a new transmission and am ordering all the parts on Wednesday for my GXP. Sucks, but it will be worth it. After all is said and done I will spend about 3 grand. This is for a low 12 second high 11 second transmission. I can't wait to see how the car feels afterwards. I am also upgrading to 3.29 gears too.
