Default My Impala SS with Mufflers deleted

Hello all,

I am quite sure many of you all remember me as the person who thought his resonators were in his mufflers, and ended up cutting both mufflers off by mistake and running a 3.5 inch wide straight pipe from the existing lines, well here is my creation. This is video of me turning on my car and reving the engine, tell me what you think be it good feedback or bad, just want everyones opinion on who looks at the video. BTW i love the sound and it scared people away, noone expects this from my car.

Haha that sounds guttural...probably too loud for the camera to pick up...for some reason LS4 cars never sound good on camera.

You could try just placing a resonator or a bullet muffler after the cat with straight pipes from there. That would reduce the insane gurgling.

correct the resonators are still on sorry for the bad quality, but it does sound good, all i did was take the mufflers off and ran a 3.5 inch wide pipe and the tube is 18 inches long. the only reason i got a 3.5 inch pipe on the car is because i wanted the mufflers to fit perfectly into the cuts in the bumper for the mufflers

That sounds great! Is it legal to run the car without mufflers?

I wish the sound quality was better, but you can tell it sounds mean.

It shouldn't be illegal anywhere. dumdumdumdum's didn't come with a muffler from the factory, so it shouldn't be illegal to cut your own off. However, sound ordinances may be a different story. lol

Current Setup: Res Delete and Cat replaced with an electric cutout - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIs1PbZBoX4

Nice I really like how it sounds, I might have to put my stock resonator back in when I put my catless downpipe back on to clean up the sound some.

Yea as mentioned it should be fine in theory without the mufflers, it's the sound that may get you in trouble.

You need mufflers in Texas to pass state inspection.

Nevermind, thought you eventually located and removed the actual resonator too.

I think it needs some mufflers, it sounds a little disoriented.
