also I was wondering if the dod lifters where different from the non-dod lifters in our engines, i.e do we have two different kinds of lifters in our engines

Do you have a tune? I didn't see it on the extensive mod list you have. Personally, I would get a tune and shut off DOD so I can use good lifters. I have my DOD shut off and only see a 1 mpg decrease. I drive alost 70 miles per day. DOD lifters I believe are collapsable, regular lifters are not.
