stock rims tire sizes?

stock rims tire sizes? I have stock rims for my 07 GXP. But i would like to know the tire sizes that i could put on my front tires. Granted i want more footprint cause i do occasionally take it to the drag strip for fun. But at the same time its my summer driver. Im from canada and my budget is around 800?. i hitup canadian tire and a couple other tire stores but over half of them didnt even know a grand prix GXP existed

the front rims are 8" ive run a 275 on a 8" on my old monte. but i think if you go to wide its going to bulge and look weird not to mention it might rub with the wheel all the way turned. that and i think its kind of a weird combo having the 8" in the front and the 7" in the rear just looks kinda weird and doesnt leave you an option to rotate. on my 06 monte im running the 7" gxps all the way around with 235s but i wouldnt go bigger then 245 on a 7" rim.

tires for impala SS Does anyone know if you could put bigger front tires on the impala SS, like they did on the GXP? Several reviews I read said that the GXP handled the V8 power better on account of the wider front tires(less tourqe steer and spin), but the Impala SS doesn't have those. Would I need new rims?
