chuckling... mid 50 year-old, C5 Z06, stop light. We both eased out until about 10 MPH and he hammers it. Fine, I will lose, but what the hell. He pulls about a quarter length on me and then bangs smack dab into his rev limiter. rat-tat-tat-tat-tat, the long first gear in the 4T60E takes back that quarter car and gets me another. He lunges forward in second gear just after my shift into second is finished. We pass 60 MPH (where I backed out as the speed limit was 45) and I had nosed him out. Sure I quit, but I beat him to 60. It counts. Got caught at a few more lights on the long trip to work. Next time, he short shifts and has trouble putting his power down without wagging his rear end. Once again, first gear pulls on him until we get up to the speed limit. That happens a time or two more and he gives up. Next he is pacing me at 55 or so and keeps jumping to see if I will bite. He does not seem to be much of a driver and I won't race his race, he was STEAMED! It amused me. He ran the red car up to an estimated 80 or so a few times to show me that he has a bigger checkbook than me, so I feel the shame and such, before he slows down to let me catch up at my cruising speed. That is my tale for today, if you didn't like it, tough.

I agree with you, it doesn't matter how you win as long as you win. I have won some races that I would have lost if they knew how to drive. You can have the fastest car out there but it you don't know how to drive it and get the power down, your going to lose. I say good run.

LOL i did a similar thing yesterday. there was a c5 vert vette next to me at a light i took off pretty easy and as he would get about mid door on my i would go a little faster up till 70 then i backed off and he finaly floored up tolike 90 or so LOL>
