Default Hawk HPS Street Brake Pads

I just have to chime in and warn everyone that the Hawk HPS Street brake pads that I have on the front of my car are the dirtiest/dustiest set of pads I've ever had.

I have ACDelco OE ceramics on the rear, and while I understand that the rears do less actual braking than the fronts on this car, I don't accumulate the same amount of brake dust on the rear in a month+ that I do in a week on the front.

The stopping power seems alright...I can't complain about that. The dust is just terrible, though. I think I'll be going back to ceramics when I have to do them again.

Next time, for sure. I was torn between the Hawk HPS and the Akebono Ceramics, and chose the wrong one, I guess.

Default ceramics

got mine for $95 shipped and bought a bottle of water wetter at the same time so $105 shipped. Haven't seen much difference in temp though.

Yeah, I have the Hawk ceramics on the front and they're great. Very little dust.

My Hawk HPS give a LOT of dust. I was going to make a thread about it but Buff beat me to it.

I went with EBC RedStuff on the 2000 Monte. Minimal dust, and the braking is a lot more solid.
