Rain guards and 3M double sided tape.

I bought a GXP that had rain guards installed on it (probably my first mistake). One blew off the other day and now the car looks retarded... there is a second one coming loose, and I've decided that I need to rip them all off....
So, since they are stuck on with this double sided 3M tape (almost has a spongy feel to it) how do I remove the tape?
I tried Goo-Gone, a little rubbing alcohol, WD-40 and nothing removes it. I don't want to scratch up my ride trying to pry it off...
Is there anything that dealerships/detailers use to remove decals/bumper stickers, etc?

rub it off with your fingers. it starts to hurt after a while though since it rubs your skin off with it eventually. but i have found it to be the easiest way. heating it up also helps out alot too
