Rear stut suggetions.
. I first noticed the problem after I changed my front tires to winters (I didn't change the rears). I intially thought the problem was due to a larger front tire diameter, but it continued after I changed them back. Do you guys have any suggestion for strut replacement? I'd like to buy a stiffer, sport strut/shock. I Do Not want to replace with OE. This a great reason for my first mod. Any help will be appreciated. Last edited by 08GXP; Jul 15, 2009 at 05:51 PM. Now as for the struts, struts do not lift your car. It is the springs that lift! If you are not going to mod your suspension then request a set of cargo coils to be installed. They will add a little lift to the rear and not compromise the ride quality with passengers on board, nor sag to rub. Plus when you launch it it won`t dip as much in the rear.
Mgpeagle has a good point about the Bilsteins, they are good and this problem should be covered under warranty.

You've got a good point. Maybe my problem isn't the struts but the springs.
I'm definetly getting snows for the rear tires next winter. I cheaped out last winter because my 4x4 truck died and I needed a quick fix. I put snows on the front because every time I tried to take off I would just sit there and spin. With the front snows it handled alot better but it still slid around like it was a rear-wheel. Michigan winters' suck!
Thanks for your input

I'm going to take it to the dealership to see what they have to say.
Thank you for responding
