Default A Finished Engine Bay By Flip **Updated With Intake Question**

well my engine bay is finally complete as i can not think of anything else for Flip to paint lol....i just got my engine cover, coolant cap, windshield cap, and new 10.4 mm taylor plug wires put on. hopefully with all this i can take home a few trophies at some car shows...engine bay is a lil dirty.....on with the pics

holy orange peel batman! if you want it taking home trophies, that paint needs a bad cut and buff!

its red not orange....what part needs cut and buffed?

Orange peel is usually caused by spraying at bad angles or excess paint buildup...not the color.

all clearcoat will have orange peel no matter hows its spayed. now, they way you spray it will deteremine how MUCH you have, but all paint ends up having orange peel, even your factory paint.

Go to Eastwood and get silver high temp coating for your exhaust manifold. I did

hey Mel when you painted your exhaust manifolds did you take them off or leave them on?

I left it on and and used a flat artist brush and was able to get in every area
you will love it!!

so i had a few people from other sites tell me i should paint my intake box....i dont know whether i will do it or not but here are the options if i decide to...they are kinda rough but you get the idea.....what do you guys think?

Mel, where did you get all those billet and chrome parts? I really like the chrome valve cover. I could only read part of that warning sticker under the hood, do they make one for the GXP's?
