Give me some advice
so to me your times are phenomenal!!! Maybe drag radials and suspension type mods (not sure what is available for these cars) could help net you a 1.9x and put you in the 8's. Best of luck bro. Joe.
Your 60 foots are not bad at all. But that will depend heavily on the track prep. At my local track, I can barely get better than a 2.30 60 foot, with the best there being a 2.27. Then I went to Dallas Raceway that preps thier track very well, and averaged under 2.20, with a best of 2.12 - mind you I launch with the same technique at both tracks.
The only thin I'd recommend is maybe some DR's, or aftermarket wheels that can handle a 255/45/18. That way you can launch harder and get some better 60 foots.
With the OE (Badyear Eagle RSA) tires, I had better results with 32 psi than lower, and also had better results with just a short spin to clear off the pebbles rather than a smoky burnout.
Track prep does have a lot to do with it.

Maybe this should be a new thread
1. what should my tire pressure be on the track and for that matter off the track?
2. i think I read somewhere that you can purchase small rubber blocks to put in the rear springs. True/False? if true where can I purchase some?

they are called gto spring blocks...i have some that i came across on another board so you gotta do some searching.
1/8 mile track, his times equate to a mid to low 14 second at around 97-100mph in the quarter mile.
As far as TC...TURN IT OFF AND KEEP IT THERE LOL...it only holds you up...and its not good for the diff to trick it with all that torque....its just not made for it...
And you guys feel the "bog" down after you clear you tire spin?...yeah...that is the engine catching up with the wheels and tires after they finally stop spinning...it will give you the effect of the car almost feeling like it is going to stall.....
Something I think that will benefit you guys is getting a custom tune...not a flash, but a custom tuner-tune...turn off the torque manangement, stiffin up the accumulator pressure etc....does wonders for the track...
Be careful with the drag slicks....unless you have a built tranny...you going to tank and turn your tranny into a 100mph gernade right before you get to a 60ft time....LOL..as you guys know, or if you didnt...the 4T65E is a lil weak...even the MN8 HD's...drag slicks will, in my opinion, and those of others who build these tranny's for guys like us, blow the input shaft out and toast the clutch paks!!!
Im currently running on a shift kit and a custom tune(among a lot of others too long to list LOL) and Ill tell ya...i would highly recommend a tune for you guys....wakes her up like no other...mind you I have N2O and have tuned for that as far as timing and fuel...but even NA before that..was great...and turn off that dam AFM..or DOD..the power band not switching around and trying to keep it fuel efficient is fantastic!!!...
Like I said, i run a shift kit...with these cars, you cant change the time in the gear or time between shifts, ECU will not allow it, but you can change accumulator pressures etc....and that only compliments the shift kit...nice aggressive shifts with no torque management and constanst fans!!! it gets it feeling good!! And ultimately...will help at the track...I got 27whp and 35wtq out of my NA tune...mind you now im at 400wtq with the N2O..just a lil braggn right LOL...soon to be BOOSTED and spraying....LOL..look for that thread too coming soon!!
