Default Ok, Can someone explain this to me?

What is up with the differential anti-score thing? It kills me. If I even get on maybe 1/2 throttle it'll throw me strait into what feels like a wall. The car just quits. If the wheels are COMLETELY straight it cuts back on the frequency but overall, it sucks.

Mine gives me **** once in a while. It's embarassing sometimes in the burnout box at the track, and the car has seizures while trying to heat the tires up.

It's a little weird...sometimes I can mash it and it will just fry the tires off, but other times it will start and stop, start and stop. Seems to be a random thing, although I don't make it a point to leave a patch every time I take off from a light. Not sure why it is intermittent.

I agree the first time I stomped on my car I left black marks across a couple lanes, then the next time it did that I thought I broke something at first, lol. I don't understand the whole sometimes it works, sometimes it don't

if your wheels are completely straight it shouldnt do this. something to do with the diff and stabilitrack/traction control that when the wheels are turned at all it thinks you're losing control. mine will eat up tires whenever i want IF the wheels are straight, coming out of a corner or anything like that it will bog down over and over until you are straight in the lane.

Is this something a tune can fix? I know in my 05 Mustang it has a throttle by wire system which makes it hesitate ever so slightly when hitting the throttle. A tune fixed that. Just curious..

The car senses when one wheel is spinning faster than the other, I don't know how much variation there can be but thats how it was explained to me any ways.

You may have a abs sensor not reading correctly, any cel's? That is if thats what the trans is using for a measure.

It's usually just in a turn. Sometimes I can launch at the strip and it'll do it, which kills times, but it's only when I lose too much traction. It can be annoying getting out into a tight spot in traffic.

Turn off the traction control before you do this

Mine only did this if I stomped on it with the wheels turned. It will do it with or without traction control on. Only way to get rid of it is to tune it out, however it's there for a reason. I would highly suggest not getting rid of it unless you have money put aside when you break something.

Turning off the traction control will not completely disable it but rather raise the threshold for intervention; I can turn mine off and if I get completely stupid it will still cut in. On a side note, I have zeroed out all Torque Mgmt from my tune. Unfortunately, I cannot get into the traction control threshold table to tweak them; HPT (or, at least the version I am using) can only turn TC completely on or off using a checkbox. I have spent a lot of time on shift points vs. MPH and downshift parameters, but I still wish they had offered these cars with an honest-to-god stick shift!

Does turning off the Stability Control do anything for this? I know in my GXP after you turn traction control off if you hold the TC button for 7 secs and release it disables stabilty control as well. I have only done one burnout in mine but I just had Traction control off and it seems to do it fine

Make sure the wheels are pointed straight and it won't do it. If you've got to get out of the way in a hurry just learn to regulate the throttle to get minimal spin while moving away as fast as you can.

Even if the wheels are straight the differential anti-score device will kick in if there is significant slip from one wheel to another i.e. water, snow etc. Here's an example of the freakout at the track. Look at my attempted burnout before the second run.
