Hey mel,

When funds get a little higher, I'm springing for this one, and the electric controller: http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/OVAL/index.php

i have mine where the res used to be....i know some have put it down the line a little further so it exits right by the rear wheel....it kinda depends on how much noise you want lol....mine is pretty loud since it is close to the DP with no bends...if you put it down further it wont be as loud.

i dont think the oval one would work if you are going to want it up that close unless you would have it in front of the cat right where the bend is from the DP to the cat (thats if it will work there).....you might have to get the regular cutout but you will lose a little clearance like i did with mine (maybe 2ish inches) putting it behind the cat or you can put it right on the DP in front of the cat and wont have that problem.

DMH ones are pretty good, QTP ones had a tendency to get stuck & need repair. Not sure if that's still the case.

so far only thing to go wrong with my QTP was a possum hitting the motor....other then that it went through an ohio winter with no problems.

I have a DMH. $200 and its a 4 year warranty. QTP is only 90 days I believe. Ive also heard that QTP can get stuck and not function anymore. There were other threads about cut outs on here and many said to go with DMH over QTP

I have the DMH and the only problem I had was the motor coming loose one time. Just make sure to snug everything up good. I have had no other problems or complaints.

So Mel, you're going with the DMH??

I'm also pretty sure I'll go the DMH route. The 4 year warranty is great (and the price)!

Just curious, but has anyone put the cutout after the resonator? Just wonder how that would effect the sound, and if it would have less of an interior drone and/or tin-ish sound. Thanks!

i originally had it right after the res. before the first bend...i have since removed the res....with the res on there is still a good amount of drone around 2500 rpms..with it off there wasnt a little bit more drone but thats to be expected with a cutout....i think it made it sound a lot better with the res off....here are some videos after i took it off and the DP installed.
