I had the 3.8 on for a long time as I wanted to learn the basics of tuning when I could do the least damage to the 3800. Also to help out others with the tunes. I have the tunes set up for all temperatures for certain mods from the 3.4, 3.5, and 3.8.

I'm building up another transmission right now. I'm debating on going with the LS4 swap or continuing with my 3800 build with a GenV or Turbo.... if I go GenV or LS4 i will probably get a custom 1500 stall converter built by Triple Edge Performance, if turbo.... 3500-4000... probably also from TEP.
sorry to interject but wouldn't you say 1500 is a little low? The stock converter is higher than that on both engines.

30 is pretty nice. But how much of that gain is from losing the cat and sucky downpipe?

1 3/4 primaries and 2.5 inch collectors the y pipe exits at 3inch and welds right to the cat.

In that case, 30 would be a VERY nice improvement.

I have a catted Hogan Down Pipe. Wonder if these headers would work if I cut the DP and welded the headers to the Hogan cat and DP flange? I guess we will know more once the photos and such are posted.

Everyone!!!!
The car made 17-18 HP at 30LB tq, the install, you have to cut one inch before the cat....so if you have stock or hogan DP you have to cut it.
They told me that it takes 4 hours to install (if you have a hoist)
Nick told me that the DOD killed the more gains that we were hoping for, so if you have a better cam it will make more power.
I will have the dyno chart later as well the pictures.

Any idea on the price yet? I'll be interested in the next month or so but nothing until after Christmas.

Not too shabby!! 17whp and 30lbft tq on a basically stock LS4! I'm diggin' it! (not sure the front tires will be though, lol) Do they have an estimated date of completion for the mass produced sets?

Joe.

Was the test set coated or bare steel? Not bad tho, I imagine it will be easy to get a N/A LS4 to the 300 whp mark now with just a few bolt-ons.

14 Gage stainless steal ceramic coated....EST price is $650. Nick told me he will try to contact the people that's on our list on Friday. I have the email that nick sent me with the dyno chart and pictures, the power is out here so I can't open it as I'm on my BlackBerry.
