TPMS question

So the wife hit a pothole and bent the rim a month or so back. Got the rim repaired but having some issues. For the last two weeks after about 45 minutes or so the check tire pressure warning comes on. It just shows the 2 dashes instead of a number for the wheel that got bent. Now the sensor is completely dead and never works. I was going to order a replacement with part # 15921013. I assume once I have the sensor and have it installed I am going to have to take it to a delearship to be programmed to the car or is this something the local tire shop will be able to do?

You can do it yourself. The directions are in the owner's manual. Very easy.

Or, go in for an oil change and tell a tech to reset it. It takes less than 10 seconds with the TPMS machine they have.

Get used to replacing them!

After about 7 GM sensors I got my last two from Discount Tire and they were cheaper and seem to last longer.

Don't know if they used GM ones or not but they were a good batch.
