tire size

Hey guys im lookin to get myself a nice little xmas present here in a couple days! Anybody now the widest we can go on the tires for the impy??

on the factory rims? im pretty sure we can fit a 255-40-18 ..
im about to buy some new tires and gonna go with a 245-45-18

255's are not recommended on a 7" wheel. 245 is a stretch, literally and figuratively. Your tire shop will hate you if you insist o 255's, since it would be harder to install overall, and even moreso to do it without damaging your wheels. 245's are tough enough.

FWIW, I've yet to find a shop that can install tires on the SS wheels without causing some sort of damage to the clearcoat. Beware! Take pics, with time/datestamp, of all of your wheels before you pull up to the shop. Let them know ahead of time that they will pay for any damage to your wheels if you notice it. Twice I've been screwed since I did not heed my own advice.
