Steering Problem...

Steering Problem... Ok this just started yesterday. If it matters....the last few days were well in the 30's and warm for this time of year, yesterday was colder and in the teens. I noticed that all of a sudden it was difficult to turn left. The car seems to want to resist turning left.
When I turn at slower speeds at a relatively sharp angle, I can hear what sounds like creaking or clunking.
Once I get it past a certain spot it lets go and turns better but, I dont know, what to look at first?

Turns out it was some bracket that broke, we manufactured a u-bolt and plate and tightened it so it was stop moving up when i turned, works awesome. Just gonna get a new rack when spring comes to fix it right.
