Ok this just started yesterday. If it matters....the last few days were well in the 30's and warm for this time of year, yesterday was colder and in the teens. I noticed that all of a sudden it was difficult to turn left. The car seems to want to resist turning left.

When I turn at slower speeds at a relatively sharp angle, I can hear what sounds like creaking or clunking.

Once I get it past a certain spot it lets go and turns better but, I dont know, what to look at first?

 

Check your CV joint (Constant velocity)

 

Turns out it was some bracket that broke, we manufactured a u-bolt and plate and tightened it so it was stop moving up when i turned, works awesome. Just gonna get a new rack when spring comes to fix it right.
