Default Oil leak at 3k miles!
I went for a drive about 2 weeks ago in my 07 SS. It was definitely a spirited drive, but no crazy drag racing or street racing. I went to move the car last night and saw one drop of oil on the garage floor, near the drivers side of the car. there is also a little wetness on the engine cradle. Could the spirited drive have forced oil out of somewhere?

Car only has 3,052 miles ...What gives???

Did you just change the oil? Or does it still have the original?

Mike how many times have you changed your oil I heard that the oil plug leaks easy after only a couple of changes

The oil has been changed about 6 times so far (overkill, I know).

I heard about oil coming from the dipstick area after a a few WOT runs. Could that happen with our cars?

Check you power steering hose mine will be changed this weekend I have a tiny leak there

looks like oil also I found out we have a service bulletin on the oring for the dip stick

i bought mine with 29k on her in 08...The oil pan was leaking I noticed probably another 2 months later....didnt make any drops but, you could see a lil residual on the pan bolts....and then I found out how bad it was once we put the turbo on it...I got oil everywhere...that became my PCV real quick....it was like chasing oil gophers LOL...some of you guys remeber that post LOL....dealer took care of me though....no problems now...LOL...and just FYI...and to top off what Mel said about the TSB about the oil dip stick and gasket....but the oil dipstick is very simply applied in a hole by pressue and held in by that gasket Mel is speaking of....you can pull it right out of the hole LOL...just push it back in real good....I would recommend pushing on it after every oil change or pulling the dip stick out...IMO......youll have to remove it too if you want to get the manifolds off to get the right access to change the Tstat...unless you guys know an easier way LOL

and the really funny thing....you guys notice i LOL way too much! LMAO...im always just so unusually happy on here LOL...see what I mean...
